SX-DMNNB Series

The SensorsX SX-DMNNB series provides non-contact magnetostrictive position measurement with strokes from 50 to 5,000 mm. Its rod-style design supports installation inside hydraulic cylinders, with a pressure rating of 350 bar and 700 bar peak. IP67 protection, a −40 to +75 °C operating range, and multiple analog and digital output options support industrial applications.

  • Performance: Nonlinearity < ±0.02% FS; repeatability 0.002 mm; update time <1 ms.
  • Overall Accuracy: Available in 0.10%, 0.25%, or 0.50% FS.
  • Output / Power: 4–20 mA, 0–5 V, 0–10 V, SSI, Modbus, PROFIBUS or CANopen; 24 V DC.
  • Pressure / Protection: 350 bar; 700 bar peak; IP67; −40 to +75 °C.
  • Materials: Head: 304 stainless steel and aluminum; rod: 316 stainless steel.
  • Connections: Cable, M12×1 4-pin or M16×1 6-pin; M18×1.5, M22×1.5 or 3/4″-16 UNF process thread.
  • Electrical: Current consumption of 50–140 mA, depending on stroke range; analog outputs use 4-wire connections.
  • Vibration / Shock Resistance: 20 g vibration resistance at 5–2,000 Hz; 100 g shock resistance.
  • Mounting: End support mounting for strokes below 400 mm; end mounting with an M4 threaded hole for strokes above 400 mm.

Product Overview

The SensorsX SX-DMNNB Series is a magnetostrictive displacement sensor for industrial machinery and hydraulic systems. It uses a position magnet for non-contact position sensing, with measuring strokes from 50 to 5,000 mm. The rod-style design supports installation inside hydraulic cylinders. Analog and digital output options are available depending on the model. The sensor tube is rated for 35 MPa (350 bar), with a peak pressure rating of 70 MPa (700 bar).
