The SX-PTDB Series remote-mount process pressure transmitter uses a remote diaphragm seal and capillary system to measure the pressure, level, and density of liquids, gases, or steam while isolating the sensing element from corrosive, viscous, crystallizing, sanitary, or high-temperature process media. It provides high-accuracy measurement, multiple remote-seal configurations, adjustable damping, and optional HART, RS-485 Modbus RTU, or Profibus PA communication. With process temperatures up to 450°C, IP67 protection, and optional ATEX intrinsic-safety or flameproof certification, it is suitable for oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, water treatment, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, and marine applications.

Product Overview

The SX-PTDB remote-mount process pressure transmitters measure liquid, gas, or steam level, density, and pressure, converting the measured value into a 4–20 mA DC HART output signal. HART, Profibus PA, and RS-485 Modbus communication protocols are also supported. The remote seal diaphragm and capillary isolate the transmitter body from the process medium using fill fluid (such as silicone oil), preventing the process medium from directly contacting the pressure sensor. The measuring range (un-spanned) is 0–6 kPa to 25 MPa. Remote seal flange rated pressures: PN 1.6/4 MPa, PN 6.4 MPa, PN 10 MPa (DIN standard); Class 150, Class 300, Class 600 per ANSI B16.5.
