SX-DMNSB Series

The SensorsX SX-DMNSB series provides non-contact, absolute position measurement for industrial machinery and hydraulic systems. Its flange-mounted design supports installation inside hydraulic cylinders. Multiple analog and digital output options are available to suit different control systems, depending on the selected configuration.

  • Stroke: 50–3,000 mm.
  • Performance: Nonlinearity < ±0.02% FS; repeatability 0.005 mm; fluctuation < ±0.01% FS; update time <1 ms.
  • Overall Accuracy: Available in 0.10%, 0.25%, or 0.50% FS.
  • Output / Power: 4–20 mA, 0–5 V, 0–10 V, SSI, Modbus, PROFIBUS or CANopen; 24 V DC.
  • Pressure / Protection: 350 bar rated pressure; 700 bar peak; IP67; operating temperature −40 to +75 °C.
  • Materials: Head: 304 stainless steel and aluminum; rod: 316 stainless steel.
  • Connection: Direct cable or M16×1 male, 6-pin connector; Ø79 mm flange with six mounting holes; 15×2 mm O-ring.
  • Electrical: Current consumption of 50–140 mA, depending on stroke range; analog outputs use 4-wire connections.
  • Vibration / Shock Resistance: 20 g vibration resistance at 5–2,000 Hz; 100 g shock resistance.
  • Mounting: End support for strokes below 400 mm; end mounting with an M4 threaded hole for strokes above 400 mm.

Product Overview

The SX-DMNSB Series is a magnetostrictive linear position sensor for non-contact, absolute position measurement in industrial machinery and hydraulic systems. It is available with measuring strokes from 50 to 3,000 mm and is designed for installation inside hydraulic cylinders. Analog output and digital interface options are available, depending on the selected model. The sensor has an IP67 ingress protection rating, and the sensor tube is rated for 35 MPa (350 bar), with a peak pressure
rating of 70 MPa (700 bar).
